This is this process to collect data for tuning. The idea is to simulate a dyno pull by following this procedure:
Get a hold of a good datalogging program. I go between StreetTUNER and ecuExplorer (free dataloging, here is a link to download the software: http://www.tari.co.za/download/installations/ecuExplorer.v3.0.25.exe )
Find a flat surface where you can make a good run
Make sure you are not heatsoaked, get into 4th gear, insure you are going straight
Get the RPM's to just under 2K, start the dataloging program and slowly mash the throttle to 100%
Run it up to redline and let off
There you have it... use the datalog to tune your vehicle.
